It all began at a blind date digs formal in Stellenbosch, with a few eager matchmakers pulling the strings. Josh had noticed Kirst long before that night, but it was there that the first sparks began to fly.

A year of long-distance love—Stellenbosch to Pretoria, countless trips up and down, and the year we truly became part of each other’s families (Josh learned to play golf, and Kirst discovered what a real bush holiday is!)

Our gap year—becoming world travellers and the start of @theticketfortwo, exploring 20+ countries of cultures, foods, and adventures together.

Josh proposed on the snowy peaks of Rochers de Naye, Switzerland—a magical moment with glühwein in hand in the charming Christmas town of Montreux.

Engaged and overjoyed—celebrated with a truly good (and very tipsy) celebration!

A year of big (and plenty of) moves—purchasing our first home and learning the true effort behind renovations.
